DETROIT – Wayne County Treasurer Eric Sabree and Detroit Mayor Mary Sheffield will be available to the media to announce the return of the PAYS (Pay As You Stay) program in Wayne County. Detroit property owners who qualify for the city’s HOPE (Homeowner Property Exemption) program also become eligible for the Wayne County Pay As You Stay (PAYS) program, which reduces delinquent past property taxes and has helped prevent foreclosure for thousands of Detroit property owners.
