A commission that’s in charge of Michigan’s capital building has the authority to ban weapons, according to Attorney General Dana Nessel. The move to ban weapons from the capital comes after a protest estimated to involve 800 protesters stormed the capital building, with photographs of guns sourced from the protest.

The official unemployment rate has been reported at 14.7%. This is the lowest point since the harshest time of the great depression. Franklin Delano Roosevelt, who was president at the time, famously said that Americans have nothing to fear but fear itself.

An investigation of Whistleblower Dr. Rick Bright has recommended that he be reinstated in his position after it was found that he was unfairly retaliated against. Dr. Bright was originally fired for going against President Donald Trump on an unproven drug that the president said was a remedy for the Coronavirus.

Michigan has reported a total of 46,325 cases of COVID-19. The state of Michigan also has seen 4,393 deaths related to COVID-19 complications. Wayne County reports 153 new cases of COVID-19. The total number of COVID-19 cases for Wayne County is 17,949.
