Gov. Whitmer has continued to pushback against protesters, and even the president, after photos of armed protesters surfaced on the internet. Whitmer, who says she’s taking the position of public health officials, said that the pandemic cannot be ‘negotiated with’ after President Trump suggests making a deal with protesters.

 

Michigan has reported a total of 43,754 cases of COVID-19. The state of Michigan also has seen 4,049 deaths related to COVID-19 complications. Wayne County reports 134 new cases of COVID-19. The total number of COVID-19 cases for Wayne County is 17,363.
