Another Protest in Lansing has spilled into the Michigan Capital Building where Lawmakers were determining whether to extend Gov. Whitmer’s emergency powers. The protest, known as the ‘American Patriot Rally’ was a continuation of operation gridlock. Although the protest is intended to be a statement about the stay-at-home order, most commentators say it carries the qualities of a Trump Rally.

Yesterday, the United States surpassed 1 million confirmed cases of COVID-19. Most of the confirmed cases fall in three states: New York, New Jersey and Massachusetts. Michigan is the 7th highest state for Coronavirus cases.

A lawsuit alleging that the rules under Gov. Whitmer’s stay-at-home order have violated constitutional rights has been stopped by the Michigan Court of Claims yesterday. A statement by the Court of Claims judge Christopher Murray says that the actions by the Governor were a necessary measure to limit the spread of the virus.

Today, the number of documented recoveries of the COVID-19 Illness have surpassed 1 million, showing a turning point in the fight against COVID-19.
