In a press conference today, Gov. Gretchen Whitmer announced the opening of bars and restaurants in Northern Michigan starting Friday of this week. However, the opening still comes with restrictions as bars and restaurants will be required to operate at 50% capacity, along with all staff trained in safety protocol.

Michigan has reported a total of 51,915 cases of COVID-19. The state of Michigan also has seen 4,915 deaths related to COVID-19 complications. Wayne County reports 68 new cases of COVID-19. The total number of COVID-19 cases for Wayne County is 19,274.
