Kroger and other employers have made the decision to stop paying its workers hazard pay for the remainder of the Coronavirus Pandemic. The Hazard Pay, often called ‘Hero Pay’ was for frontline workers who are more likely to contract the Novel Coronavirus because of their role. Critics say that this is selfish, because many essential businesses have seen higher profits during the COVID-19 Pandemic.

J.C. Penney because the latest retail chain to file for bankruptcy. As a result of the COVID-19 Pandemic, many shoppers have been forced to switch to online shopping because of the closure of shopping centers.

Michigan has reported a total of 50,504 cases of COVID-19. The state of Michigan also has seen 4,880 deaths related to COVID-19 complications. Wayne County reports 134 new cases of COVID-19. The total number of COVID-19 cases for Wayne County is 19,159.
