Here are some of the more widely-publicized results as they stand so far.

At this moment, Wayne County is reporting that only 60% of precincts have fully reported their results. The election can still take a sharp turn for many candidates and proposals. Wayne County Clerk Cathy M. Garrett says that the most populated county in Michigan may not see full results until late tonight, at the earliest. Results can also come on Friday at the latest.

It’s reported that there are still 400,000 ballots that need to be counted.

CANDIDATES

Abraham Aiyash has garnered more than 6,000 votes over any other candidate in the race.

Dearborn Public School Board Members still have a long way to go before any clear results can be safely relied on. With 7.5% of precincts reporting, the winners so far appear to be Adel Mozip, Khodr Farhat, and Nofila J. Haidar for the full terms. Trailing close behind is Paul Goddard with a 1% vote difference behind Haidar.

For the partial term, Albert Abbas has a strong lead at 6 points above his nearest challenger.

Detroit Community School District Board Members have a fuller picture of the results with about 65% of precincts reporting. So far, the leaders are Sonya S. Mays, Misha Stallworth, and Sherry Gay-Dagnogo. Trailing behind the three leaders is Iris A. Taylor with less than half a point behind.

PROPOSALS

Proposal N – City of Detroit Neighborhood Bond Proposal sees a strong turn for approval with 70% approving the bond so far. Still, only 65% of precincts are reporting.

Hamtramck Police and Firefighters Retirement Millage Proposal results show that there is a strong disapproval among voters, with 71% voting against the proposal. 100% of precincts in Hamtramck have reported.

Hamtramck Charter Amendment Proposal No. 1 and No. 2 are both showing that voters disagree with the charter amendment. Election reports are not finalized, and the votes can still show otherwise with just under 60% of ballots counted. But with each proposal having been decided by 20%, it is likely that these will be the final results.
