Attempted Robbery at Fairlane Town Center Under Investigation

Dearborn, Mich. – Yesterday, at around 5:50pm, a non-fatal shooting happened outside the Fairlane Town Center, near University of Michigan Dearborn’s Campus. The victim is reported to be serious condition, but is expected to recover. They were transported to an area hospital soon after the attack.

According to Dearborn Police, the suspect attempted to rob the victim while they were leaving the mall. The shooting is still under investigation, and detectives are pursuing leads.

“The Dearborn Police Department will aggressively investigate this brazen crime and utilize all available resources to bring those responsible to justice,” said Ronald Haddad, Dearborn Police Chief. “Reckless acts such as this endanger innocent lives and will not be tolerated. Please remember to stay vigilant and safe this holiday season.”

As part of the ongoing investigation, Dearborn Police are asking anyone with any information to contact the Dearborn Police Department.
