{"id":5691,"date":"2022-01-12T20:35:46","date_gmt":"2022-01-13T00:35:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/yemeniamerican.com\/en\/?p=5691"},"modified":"2022-01-13T17:51:10","modified_gmt":"2022-01-13T21:51:10","slug":"hamtramck-board-of-education-elects-salah-hadwan-as-board-president","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/yemeniamerican.com\/en\/hamtramck-board-of-education-elects-salah-hadwan-as-board-president\/","title":{"rendered":"Hamtramck Board of Education elects Salah Hadwan as board president"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>By Simon Albaugh \u2013 Yemeni American News<\/p>\n<p>HAMTRAMCK, Mich. \u2013 The Hamtramck Board of Education convened an organizational meeting in order to elect the new Board President \u2013 Salah Hadwan \u2013 and the board\u2019s vice president, treasurer and secretary.<\/p>\n<p>Showkat Choudhury will be serving the Board of Education again as vice president, along with Moortadha Obeid as Treasurer again and Daz\u2019Shavon Hall as Secretary again as well.<\/p>\n<p>Showkat, Moortadha and Daz\u2019Shavon will be continuing their time on the Board of Education in their previous positions. Former board president Jihan was nominated for the position of board president again but declined the nomination.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFirst of all, I\u2019d like to congratulate all of you,\u201d said Nabil Nagi, interim superintendent for HPS. \u201cYou all work very, very hard.
