The victim is reported to be serious condition, but is expected to recover. They were transported to an area hospital soon after the attack.<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">According to Dearborn Police, the suspect attempted to rob the victim while they were leaving the mall. The shooting is still under investigation, and detectives are pursuing leads.<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">\u201cThe Dearborn Police Department will aggressively investigate this brazen crime and utilize all available resources to bring those responsible to justice,\u201d said Ronald Haddad, Dearborn Police Chief. \u201cReckless acts such as this endanger innocent lives and will not be tolerated.
