Whitmer\u2019s emergency powers. The protest, known as the \u2018American Patriot Rally\u2019 was a continuation of operation gridlock. Although the protest is intended to be a statement about the stay-at-home order, most commentators say it carries the qualities of a Trump Rally.<\/p>\n<p>Yesterday, the United States surpassed 1 million confirmed cases of COVID-19. Most of the confirmed cases fall in three states: New York, New Jersey and Massachusetts. Michigan is the 7<sup>th<\/sup> highest state for Coronavirus cases.<\/p>\n<p>A lawsuit alleging that the rules under Gov. Whitmer\u2019s stay-at-home order have violated constitutional rights has been stopped by the Michigan Court of Claims yesterday. A statement by the Court of Claims judge Christopher Murray says that the actions by the Governor were a necessary measure to limit the spread of the virus.<\/p>\n<p>Today, the number of documented recoveries of the COVID-19 Illness have surpassed 1 million, showing a turning point in the fight against COVID-19.<\/p>\n<p>Michigan has reported a total of 41,379 cases of COVID-19. The state of Michigan also has seen 3,670 deaths related to COVID-19 complications. Wayne County reports 227 new cases of COVID-19.
