MSU President Samuel Stanley says it\u2019s because many families will be facing hardships in the next year, and returning students shouldn\u2019t let tuition rates decide if students are able to continue their study.<\/p>\n<p>COVID-19 Data coming out of Detroit shows that the lowest number of new cases have been confirmed today since Mar. 13. The data shows a promising statistic in the goal of \u2018flattening the curve,\u2019 meaning that the cases aren\u2019t confirmed all at once.<\/p>\n<p>Gov. Whitmer is hoping that the Michigan Economy can be reopened by May 1. Although the entire economy and all of its industries most likely won\u2019t be immediately opened under Whitmer\u2019s plan, the details are set to be released next week.<\/p>\n<p>President of Detroit City Council Brenda Jones has recovered from the COVID-19 Illness after contracting the virus a few weeks ago.<\/p>\n<p>Michigan has reported a total of 30,023 cases of COVID-19. The state of Michigan also has seen 2,227 deaths related to COVID-19 complications. Wayne County reports 338 new cases of COVID-19 with 1,034 deaths.
