Dr. Fauci also states that the American people should buckle down and that the virus probably won\u2019t be eradicated this year.<\/p>\n<p>Michigan\u2019s State Legislators are conflicted over whether to extend Governor Gretchen Whitmer\u2019s emergency powers after she initially requested an extension of 70 days. Members of the Republican Party are looking to extend her emergency powers for 23 days instead.<\/p>\n<p>Michigan has reported a total of 15,718 cases of COVID-19. The state of Michigan also has seen 540 deaths related to COVID-19 complications. Wayne County reports 744 new cases of COVID-19 with 301 deaths.
