A Coronavirus Vaccine currently in the testing stage of development is set to be manufactured in Kalamazoo, Michigan, depending on the effectiveness of the vaccine. The Pfizer company is testing a vaccine after four months of development in labs. The vaccine will be tested all around the United States.

After a series of protests centered in the Michigan Capital city of Lansing, the Michigan Capital Building is considering a move to ban weapons within the building.

In a move following major health systems in Metro Detroit, the University of Michigan Health System will be laying off 1,400 health care workers as a result of budget worries from the Coronavirus Pandemic. A few weeks ago, both Henry Ford and Beaumont health systems made layoffs in the thousands.

Michigan has reported a total of 44,397 cases of COVID-19. The state of Michigan also has seen 4,179 deaths related to COVID-19 complications. Wayne County reports 130 new cases of COVID-19. The total number of COVID-19 cases for Wayne County is 17,506.
